Privacy policy
1088ex.com is a static site. Data collection here is minimal. This page tells you exactly what I collect, what I don't, how cookies work, and what GDPR rights you have. Three-minute read.
1. What this site collects
Visitor stats on this site come from two places: Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics (see section 6). GA4 collects visit and interaction data. GA4 measurement ID: G-DDQLND4LSN.

GA4 can present visits in aggregate reports, but an aggregate display does not mean all collected data is anonymous. Connections from your browser to Google include your IP address and other network information, which Google processes. IP handling does not mean your full IP never reaches Google, and this site cannot guarantee that all data is unlinked to a browser or person.
2. Cookies
Two types of cookies on this site:

First-party cookie is purely functional (remembers your language choice across visits). Third-party cookies are Google Analytics only. No advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels.
Disabling cookies in your browser doesn't affect content reading on this site.
3. What I do NOT collect
Explicitly:
- Email address — unless you actively send me an email at [email protected], the site does not capture emails.
- Phone / name / real-name info — no signup, nothing to collect.
- Wallet address / private key / seed phrase — the site doesn't connect wallets. Tools (fee comparator, BTC chart) are pure client-side calculation; the numbers you enter stay in your browser. Any "tool" that asks you to paste your seed phrase is a scam.
- Payment info — nothing is sold here, nothing is charged.
- Account passwords — there's no login system.
- User comments — there's no comments section.
4. GDPR / EU user rights
If you're accessing this site from the EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein, you're protected by GDPR (or equivalent) and have the following rights:
- Right of access — contact the privacy email below to ask what data this site processes about you. Whether relevant records can be located needs to be checked for the particular request; aggregate reporting alone does not establish that no such data exists.
- Right to deletion — contact [email protected] for help with a deletion request. Clearing cookies removes records from your browser only. GA opt-out is intended to prevent future analytics transmissions; neither action deletes historical data already received by Google's servers.
- Right to object — install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On (
tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) to prevent GA from recording in your browser. - Right to lodge a complaint — you can file a complaint with your national data protection authority.

5. Data storage and retention
GA4 data is processed and stored by Google's service. Retention and deletion depend on the service settings and Google's applicable terms; this page does not promise an unverified fixed retention period.
This site has no independent database. All static HTML is served via Cloudflare CDN. CF logs visiting IPs temporarily at the network layer for security purposes — that's handled under Cloudflare's own privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy) which I have no access to override.
6. Third-party resources
The site loads the following third-party resources, each of which may log your visit per their own policy:
- Google Fonts — font loading (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com).
- Google Analytics 4 — visitor stats (www.googletagmanager.com); uses the cookies listed in section 2.
- CoinGecko — pages with the price ticker request BTC, ETH and SOL prices in USD from api.coingecko.com in your browser when opened, then attempt to refresh every 60 seconds. CoinGecko receives the request's IP address and other network information. Prices and their fetch time are cached locally under tickers_cache_v1 in localStorage for later display and fallback when requests fail. Clearing this site's local storage removes the cache; a later successful price request saves it again.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — because the site sits behind Cloudflare, every page also carries Cloudflare's measurement beacon (static.cloudflareinsights.com). It reports things like page loads per article and how long a page takes to render. Cloudflare's product page says the beacon stores no cookies or local-storage data and is not used to fingerprint anyone. Run a tracker blocker and neither this beacon nor GA4 will load.
- Exchange sign-up links — when you click an exchange sign-up link and get forwarded to the corresponding exchange, that exchange records "user came from referral code X."
7. Policy changelog
Future revisions will be logged here line by line, and cross-referenced on the corrections page. Material changes will also update the "last updated" date at the top.
