About GOD
The handle is "GOD" — and no, I'm not actually one. Back in the 2018 bear market a few of us were buying dips into the abyss. One of mine bounced 15% and the group started calling me GOD. The name stuck and rode along to X. If there's any deity here, it's the market, and I've been on the receiving end of its lessons for 8 years.
1. Who I am
I started in April 2018. First buy was around $8,000 BTC — I thought it was the bottom. It wasn't. Price ran down to $3,200 and I learned what every old hand eventually learns: this isn't about candles, it's about liquidity, custody, and writing your stop-loss on paper instead of in your head.
I've sat through a few cycles now. 2021 LUNA — I dodged it. Not because I'm smart. I just couldn't be bothered to study a dual-token algorithmic stablecoin design that nobody could explain in one paragraph. If I don't understand it, I don't touch it. November 2022, the week before FTX collapsed, I pulled my USDT out. Pure luck — I was actually testing OKX's withdrawal speed at the time and grabbed my FTX balance on the same evening for kicks. Not exactly a heroic origin story. But that's what happened.
I'm not a KOL. No paid course, no Telegram VIP group, no Discord with tiered access. My X account @GOD__COIN has about 800 followers, most of them people I got burned alongside in 2018.
2. Why I built this site
Honest answer: I got tired of answering the same questions in group chats.
"Is Binance cheaper than OKX?" "Does Gate really list more new coins?" "Where do you do copy trading?" — same questions every few weeks. So I started writing the answers down and pasting links instead of retyping.
The scope of this site is narrow on purpose: Binance, OKX, and Gate — the three exchanges I actually use every day. It's not that the others are bad. It's that I have nothing useful to say about Bybit (I opened an account but barely trade there), and Kraken / Coinbase serve a different audience than the readers I tend to attract. I write what I know.
What this site is NOT trying to become
Not a crypto encyclopedia. Not a place that covers every exchange, every coin, every play. Just three exchanges I've put real money through. That's enough material for years.
3. What I trade
My approximate allocation (this is what I do, not what you should do):
I only run perps on BTC and ETH. Altcoin perps are too thin — one liquidity hole and you eat a wick. 3x to 5x leverage is my default, 10x is reserved for setups where I've already scaled in. I've watched too many people open 50x and 100x positions. The exchange always wins that trade.
OKX copy trading is genuinely useful, but you have to filter ruthlessly. My rule: backtest window of at least 180 days, max drawdown under 30%, total AUM under 50,000 USDT (anyone bigger is usually farming followers, not actually trading). This screens out about 90% of the leaderboard. I'll write a full piece on it eventually.
Gate new listings are entertainment, not investment. Small size, hard stops, take the first pop and leave. I don't expect to get rich here. I just want to stay close to the firehose so my market instincts don't go stale.
4. What I don't write about
This part I'm pretty firm on:
- No airdrop farming guides. I've farmed some myself, but most of the meaningful airdrops are gone by the time a tutorial gets written — sybil farms scoop them at the protocol level and retail just eats gas.
- No memecoin / shitcoin shilling. I'll occasionally buy memes that already had a leg up (DOGE / SHIB / PEPE), but I never touch the brand-new ones. There's no real "analysis" to share — it's pure variance.
- No calls, no paid groups, no signals. I've watched enough KOLs run a pump-and-dump on their own audience. Rather have 800 followers than be the next cautionary tale.
- No paid editorial. I'm an Affiliate partner with Binance / OKX / Gate (see Disclosure). Links carry referral codes. But the marketing fee comes from the exchange's promo budget — it doesn't bend what I say. When I tell you "use X for Y" the reason is in plain sight.
5. How to reach me
X: @GOD__COIN. I post the occasional market thought. I do not answer DMs asking for price predictions — I can't keep up, and I don't know where price goes tomorrow anyway.
Email: privacy@1088ex.com. Privacy questions, factual corrections, copyright issues, business inquiries (I rarely take these). Reply within 3 days.
No comments section, no signup, no community channel. Partly because I want to keep this simple, partly because I don't want to moderate anything. If you want a conversation, X is the place.
6. About the word "veteran"
I don't call myself an analyst, expert, or mentor. The actual good operators in this space tend to be quiet. The ones with titles in their bio are usually selling something.
"Veteran" just means I've been around long enough to have eaten a few collapses. I missed Mt. Gox (2014) by a few months — wasn't deep enough yet. I did have funds on Bitfinex during the 2016 hack. I rode out LUNA from the sidelines because I didn't understand the mechanics. I sidestepped FTX by accident. None of that makes me prescient. It just means I've developed a slightly better nose for "things that smell wrong."
7. Cycle log (one line each)
2018 entry, drawdown -60% · 2019 grinding bull, partial recovery · 2020 ETH transition + DeFi summer, modest gains · 2021 top, reduced size but held 1/3 spot through the bear · 2022 LUNA avoided, FTX dodged by luck · 2023-2024 halving cycle re-entry · 2025-2026 currently 70/30 perps-to-spot · every cycle had its drawdown, every cycle I survived.
8. Final note
This site is for two kinds of readers. First, someone about to open their first exchange account — you don't need fancy strategies, you need to figure out where to register, how to not get scammed, and where to keep your coins. Second, someone already trading on one exchange but curious about the other two — that's where I have the most to say, because side-by-side comparison is exactly the angle I live every day.
If you came here looking for "where will BTC be next month" or "which altcoin will 100x" or "how to turn $10K into $1M" — wrong site. Nobody can call those reliably, and the ones who claim to don't share for free.
That's it.
